This Year’s Swimsuit Issue Features the Hottest Swimwear Brands

When it comes to images of women, you can’t get much more iconic than the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Since its first release back in 1964, it has been featuring beautiful women from around the globe, and in many cases, turning them into supermodels overnight.

The issue was originally created as a way to break up the winter months, which are a slow time in the sports world. Fashion reporter Jule Campbell morphed the concept into a media sensation by featuring beautiful, curvy women and giving them credit by listing their names unblock sites in pakistan. This was groundbreaking within the modeling industry. Throughout its history, The Swimsuit Issue has done other groundbreaking things, such as featuring non-models such as athletes like Danica Patrick and singers like Beyoncé.

Known for beautiful locations and equally beautiful women, swimsuit shoppers the world over have the Swimsuit Issue to thank for making the bikini what it is today. Every year, it features the hottest and on-trend bikini brands.

This year is no different. The special edition 50th Anniversary issue is filled with sexy bikinis from the hottest swimwear designers. Swimwear lines featured include L*Space,The La Boheme, Agua Bendita, Acacia and Tori Praver unblocked superfighters. Three Models For SI’s 50th Swimsuit

LOS ANGELES – Sports Illustrated is marking the 50th anniversary of its swimsuit issue with three models on the cover.

Chrissy Teigen, Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge strike a playful pose in the picture topping the magazine’s annual swimsuit edition.

The image was to be unveiled Feb. 14 on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! The issue hits newsstands and digital formats next week.

Aldridge said in an interview she was “in shock” over her selection. “It’s the most incredible honor to be a Sports Illustrated cover model,” she said. Especially since it’s the 28-year-old Victoria’s Secret model’s first time in the magazine.

Even though Teigen has appeared in the swimsuit issue five times before, she never expected to land on the cover. “It’s the ultimate surprise, and it’s the best feeling in the world right now,” said the 28-year-old, who recently married musician John Legend.

The last time multiple models appeared on the cover of the magazine’s swimsuit issue was in 2006. So what made the trio’s photo stand out? Teigen said she thinks it’s because they instantly bonded as buddies and got along swimmingly during the shoot, in the Cook Islands, off the coast of New Zealand.

“The smiles that you’re seeing are genuine,” she said. “We had a good time, and it shows in the picture.” The models said the most exciting thing about their Sports Illustrated cover status is what it might mean for their futures.

“Getting to be on the cover, we’re all going to be household names,” Aldridge said. “It’s incredible what it does for your career and where it can take you.”

Teigen joked that she doesn’t know what else to do now and feels as though she should retire. “Nothing is going to compare to this,” she said. “This is pretty epic.”

On Friday, the sexy swimsuit starlet took to Instagram to post a pic of herself as she sits on a bed with her hair up in buns. As she stares into the camera, she looks comfortable with her serious features. As she dons a colorful and strapless top, she happens to have blue birds flying around her head. But they're not actual birds...they're animated ones.

However Agdal was able to do this, it came out looking pretty much like a cartoon moment when someone gets knocked out causing birds to fly around the head. And in a video clip the model posted, that's exactly what the birds are doing. Except in her case, Agdal has definitely not been knocked out- in fact, she looks totally upright as she strikes her seductive poses into the camera. She ends the video by pressing her lips to the screen.

Supermodel Nina Agdal Shares How She Gets Ready for the Runway

Being a model isn’t all fun and games. Sure, it’s filled with designer dresses and runway fashion shows, but it also involves tedious travel, tiresome fittings,and of course, plenty of early-morning gym sessions. Haute Living asked Danish model Nina Agdal, who recently graced the cover of the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, to walk us through her day and give us a glimpse into her real Manhattan lifestyle.

7:45 AM I arrive in New York City after taking a red-eye flight from Los Angeles. I only got a couple hours of sleep so I head to Starbucks to grab the largest iced coffee with milk that I can get. Since it’s rush hour, I decide to take the train back to Manhattan. Most people don’t realize how easy that actually is!

9 AM I arrive at my apartment and jump on my sleeping roommate to let her know that I’m home. I check the mail and pick up my packages. I always order packages when I’m out of town because I love coming home to presents.

9:30 AM Time to start getting ready for the day. I make a bowl of oatmeal with cinnamon and watch my morning talk shows and the news.

11:30 AM I walk to the subway wearing Ray Ban sunglasses and a flowy summer dress and accidentally flash an ass cheek—no one told me it was windy! I have to go to a casting appointment so my hair is loose and wavy.

12:45 PM I grab a salad and then head to a fitting for my job on Monday. Standing still (and preparing myself to be a human doll) is always a challenge for me.

2:30 PM I get a lymphatic therapy massage at Rhemedy by Rhed. It really helps me de-puff after I travel. It works just like a facial, but it’s a massage.

5 PM I usually like to do some kind of cardio in the morning, but since I took a red-eye, now it’s time for me to get my sweat on. I take a class at SoulCycle with my favorite instructor, Isabel, and then head to Equinox to do my own exercises, people-watch, and steam. It inspires me to work out even harder when I’m surrounded by all different types of people sweating.

7:30 PM Back home in my sweatpants. I catch up with my roomies, order food, have a glass of wine, make stupid home videos (which shall remain unseen) and watch all the TV shows I missed while traveling.

12 AM I usually have a lot on my mind before falling asleep so I text goodnight to my mother in Denmark, who is usually waking up at this time. I put on Garth Stevenson’s album and fall asleep. If I want to have weird dreams, I’ll eat shellfish for dinner—it always has an effect on me. Must try! If I can’t sleep then I’ll throw on an outfit and head out to meet my night owl friends for a fun night on the town…if I don’t have work the following day, of course!

If you have not yet seen the cover of the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, it features Chrissy Teigen, Nina Agdal, and Lily Aldrige standing together in the surf with bikini bottoms on and all three are topless. The three hot women are turned provocatively so you cannot see their tops, but they clearly have no bikini top straps on.

Nina Agdal was born in Denmark on March 26, 1991. The red hot 21 year old Danish model first appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition in 2012, and she was named rookie of the year for that edition. The 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition is, I believe, the first time Nina Agdal has been on the cover.

Nina Agdal is a very successful fashion model who has done ads for companies like Macy's, Billabong, Frederick's of Hollywood, and Victoria's Secret. During the 2013 Super Bowl, an ad ran for Carl's Jr./Hardee's new at the time Atlantic cod fish sandwich which starred Nina Agdal on a beach in a bikini and then topless eating the sandwich.

• Lily Aldridge

Lily Aldridge from California is making her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition debut at the age of 28. Lily will likely be the rookie of the year for the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

Even though Lily Aldridge is making her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition debut this year, she is a veteran model who began modeling at the age of 16 for Abercrombie & Fitch. Lily Aldridge has also modeled for JCrew, Coach, Levi's, and she is a Victoria's Secret Angel. Lily Aldridge's mom was Playboy's Playmate of the Month in February of 1976.

• Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen is also 28 years old, and she is a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition veteran, having appeared in the swimsuit edition every year since 2010. Chrissy Teigen was Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition rookie of the year in 2010.
